"Challenging the unprecedented is the true meaning of innovation; the goal is to strive for excellence and create one's own value!" - Wu Min-Chi, winner of the Fifth Presidential Innovation Award

In 1989, Senior Wu Min-Chi led about 40 engineers from the United States to Taiwan to start Macronix International from scratch. At that time, they were at the forefront of the world in combining statistics and semiconductor knowledge, and introduced AI and big data into semiconductor production and manufacturing. Later, this was also adopted by Taiwan's leading wafer foundries. In 1995, he promoted the listing of the third category of shares, which led to a significant inflow of foreign capital into Taiwan's high-tech industry. In order to cultivate Taiwan's new generation of technology talents, he not only used innovative design (Forward Design) to reverse Taiwan's traditional foundry model, but also established the Macronix Golden Silicon Award, Macronix Science Award, and donated to National Cheng Kung University to establish the School of Mindful Computing to cultivate young cross-domain technology talents. He made outstanding contributions to the development of Taiwan's semiconductor industry.
Senior Wu Min-Chi encountered many difficulties and challenges in his life, but he was always able to solve problems cleverly and find answers to various problems. He demonstrated his management wisdom from scratch to excellence and became the first Taiwanese entrepreneur to appear on the cover of Forbes magazine. On the day of the graduation ceremony, he will speak as an alumnus about his belief in starting his own company from working for various semiconductor companies, as well as being a promoter of the School of Mindful Computing. He will share how his original vision has made him who he is today. Let us listen together to his wisdom and values in life and understand how Senior Wu used his knowledge and strategy to create a nearly perfect life of struggle.
